For Exceptional Outdoor Living

More and more people are treating their outdoor areas as an extension of their living space.

The garden has become another ‘room’ within the house and thought should be given to how this is effectively the largest room in your home and therefore the money required to elevate the space to something both beautiful and functional needs to be allocated wisely and effectively.

A professional garden designer has the knowledge and expertise to assess your site, understand your needs, and develop a design that makes the best use of the available space whilst maximising your budget.

Unlike simply using AI to generate an image, a garden designer will take into account factors such as ground levels, drainage, sun positioning and soil type. Not to mention compliance with building regulations etc. which if ignored could lead to fines or even work having to be dismantled and re-done. We have seen countless images from AI which initially look impressive but upon closer inspection it’s clear the scale and proportions are incorrect and what is promised within the glossy image cannot be achieved in reality.

A garden designer can actually help save time and money by avoiding costly mistakes and ensuring that the project is carefully planned from the outset. An unplanned and unstructured landscaping project often leads to indecision and minds being changed late into the project which can lead to delays and additional costs in the thousands.

By coordinating with contractors and overseeing the implementation of the design, they help ensure that the finished garden meets the client’s expectations and provides lasting enjoyment for years to come.

Based in Leicestershire we predominantly work in the East Midlands and West Midlands.

However, we have also worked on projects further afield and always welcome enquires from all over the UK.

Knowing who to trust with your landscaping project can be difficult.

Over the course of his career in landscaping, Stuart has worked with hundreds of landscapers the length and breadth of the country.

Stone & Flora typically work with a select few landscaping contractors who we can put you in contact with. Alternatively, we can provide help and advice in selecting a reputable contractor.

Whilst garden makeover shows on television can be a source of inspiration to homeowners, they can also be very misleading as to the cost and time it takes to complete a landscaping project to a high standard.

Often, we see small to medium sized gardens having a makeover for £3,000 – £6,000 and completed within two days. This is not realistic at all.

Our typical projects range from £15,000 to £120,000.

During your initial consultation we will discuss your ideas and list wants and needs from the garden as well as your budget and we can advise accordingly as to what is achievable.

No two gardens are the same, and in that respect our design fees are based on a number of factors including size, complexity, services required etc.

Our normal method of working would be to visit you in person to review the site and discuss your requirements. From there we provide you with a written quotation for our services.

Our preferred method of payment is via BACS transfer, our details will be provided along with our quotations.

However, we do also accept payment via debit or credit card.

Please note, as a reputable business registered and paying tax within the United Kingdom we are unable to offer discounts for cash.

There are a number of factors which will impact the overall time it takes to complete a design.

These include, size, complexity, if any amendments are required etc.

On average, from initial consultation to the final design being completed, this is typically achievable within one to two months.

This all depends on our current workload.

We do not believe in taking on too many clients at any one time and overloading the amount of work we can complete to a high standard. In peak times there may be a waiting list of a few weeks.

Get in touch here and we’ll be happy to let you know how soon we can get started on your project.
